Happy days

Well, in case you didn’t know, my library has not yet done a library 2.0 course.  I started the wiki as part of a plan to propose a 2.0 course.  I wanted to have all my ducks in a row for the proposal, and then it just kind of took off all on it’s own, so i spent several months working feverishly on it so  it would look okay.  Now, however there is serious talk about doing the 2.0 program.  We might start as early as September or October, if the funding is approved.  Yay!  I’ll be putting parts of the wiki to good use, and adapting the coursework to better reflect users real needs and learning experiences, so i hope that it improves for everyone through the course of the project, which looks like it will take about six months to complete, with one new thing per week for 24-26 weeks.

Also, i’ve noticed that the spamming has not returned on my pages of the wiki at least.  I think that some spam tools were being looking at by the wiki admin team, so perhaps this means that they’ve been put into effect, and are quietly scrubbing out the spam, and not allowing more spam to be put in.  Yay for the wikisysadmin!

On the other hand, the A/C is out in my building today.  It’s about 85 down here in the basement, even with the fans going and all the doors open.  Wish i could work from home today.
