blog review #3

June 6, 2007 at 4:31 pm (Uncategorized)

Actually, this is probably review number 5 or 6, but you know what I’m up to.  I was going to try and branch out away from library related blogs for a while, do a little collection development with blogs, but I’ve been consistently pleased with Library Clips over the last few weeks, particularly in relation to the library 2.0 wiki project.  Because this blog seems like such a great source for 2.0 information, i might even go back through all the old posts and see if i can find stuff to help flesh out the wiki in certain areas – like Google and music sharing, and any other fortuitous find that comes along.

Visually, Library Clips has a nice layout, simple and clean.  The left column is a repository for over a dozen different widgets – great for seeing how different widgets work and what they look like in action.  Plus, there are little graphics at the end of every post so that you can link to or track that post from a huge variety of readers and bookmarking sites and stuff like that.  (I has a good vocabulary for the internets doesn’t me?)

If you like Library 2.0, Web 2.0, social networking, and innovations in general, Library Clips is a good one-stop-shop for enough of that stuff to keep you busy for the 15 minutes of your day that you can dedicate to learning new things.  😉
