2. Look at some different blog software, and put each one into a folder on your browser marked “Blogging”
   • WordPress (http://wordpress.com)
   • Blogger (http://www.blogger.com)
   • LiveJournal (http://www.livejournal.com/)
3. Look at these different blogs, and put each one into the “Blogging” folder.
   • Boing Boing (http://boingboing.net/)
   • The Shifted Librarian (http://www.theshiftedlibrarian.com/)
   • O’Reilly Radar (http://radar.oreilly.com/)
   • The Best Media In Life Is Free (http://cc-gems.blogspot.com/index.html)

Things To Do

1. Visit some other blogs and comment on them! Go back to the blogs in your folder, or check out some of these (and add them to the folder, too):

   • Library Bytes (http://www.librarybytes.com/index.html)

2. Think about what you would blog about in your own blog. Some possibilities are:
   • Insights into your job/career.
   • Your explorations in cyberspace.
   • Your favorite hobby.
   • Book and movie reviews.
   • All of the above!
   • After you’ve been blogging for a while, give your blog the Blog Readability Test, and see what reading level is required to read your blog.
